a fresh outlook

Trees are blossoming (ah-choo!), the birds are chirping, and we are feeling the magical energy of transformation and new life that Spring brings!

In April we celebrate Earth day, so in honor of our beloved Mother Earth, we have a list of some fun activities to celebrate, as well as ideas for upcycled crafts. We LOVE repurposing old items and giving them new life, so hopefully you feel inspired to look around your home and revamp something you’ve already got!

We also love hearing from all of you - do you have a fresh craft idea you’d like to see us create? A cocktail you’re dying to try? A business you’d like us to know about?

We are all ears - feel free to reach out!

Happy Spring to all!

Ridwell comes to your home every 2 weeks, and picks up all those items you don’t want to end up in a landfill, but don’t have time to figure out where they can be recycled! Ridwell has partnerships with non-profits all over that can take everything from used electronics and toothbrush heads, to batteries, light blubs and styrafoam.

The greatest threat to our planet, is the belief that someone else will save it.

Spring Clean” is Adopt a Street's annual push to organize with community groups for one-time cleanups. Whether it’s your family, or your whole block, you have the power to make a difference in your neighborhood and keep garbage out of the storm drains, lakes and streams, and ultimately protect our local wildlife.

Seattle Public Utilities will support your clean up and provide supplies, trash pick-up and help planning if you need. Click here to find out more.
